Citrawarna 2026 — Malaysia’s signature cultural festival — is happening from 24 to 26 July 2026 at Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur, and the highlight of the whole event is the Colours of Parade on Saturday, 25 July.

The parade features over 3,500 dancers from across Malaysia, bringing the nation’s rich culture, heritage, music and dance to life in one unforgettable showcase right in the heart of KL. Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing will also be in attendance.

Getting There

Roads around Merdeka Square will be temporarily closed on the night, so plan ahead! The easiest options are:

🚇  LRT — Alight at Masjid Jamek Station and walk to the venue

🚗  E-hailing — Drop off at Royal Selangor Club or the Second Tallest Flagpole in Malaysia

Beyond the parade, Citrawarna 2026 runs across all three days — 24 to 26 July — with cultural showcases, performances, food experiences and interactive activities to explore. A full weekend of Malaysian culture, right in the city centre.
