An 18-year-old from Singapore has won a regional crown. Riona Krishnan Dighe was named Miss Teen Universe Asia 2026 at the finals in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on 25 October. She is the first Singaporean to hold the title.

More than 30 delegates took part. Riona advanced through two rounds of cuts, from the Top 20 to the Top 14, before the crown was announced. She also won Miss Popular Choice, an award decided by online public voting, which made her the audience favourite among the delegates.

Sharing the win on Instagram, Riona wrote, “I came to Cambodia as a girl from one of Asia’s smallest nations and I leave with the honour of representing an entire continent.”

She credited her mother as her greatest strength and thanked her National Director, Adeline Hokulani, for guiding her. “I may have stood on that stage alone but I had an entire nation behind me,” she added. “Singapore, we didn’t just make our mark. We made history.”

Riona competed on a platform of children’s education and access, built on charity work she has been doing since she was 11. She has also walked at the New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks. She won Miss Teen Universe Singapore 2026 in July, which earned her the place at the regional finals.

Congratulations, Riona! 👑
